**05Wanted**: Part-Time Bar Crawl Guide

**Job Type**: On-Site
**Hours**: Part-time, ~0-12 hours per week depending on the number of groups booked in (all weekend and night work) plus a ~0-2 hours of operations and admin work.
**Remuneration**: €11 / hour
**Start Date**: On or after 29/08/2024 for interviews/training, regular duties starting on or after 05/09/2024.
**Contract Type**: Autónomo (self-employed sub-contractor )
**Payment Method**: Monthly via bank transfer upon receipt of invoice.

**The Company**: ‘On The Rocks Tours’ are a small nightlife tour company based in Brighton in the UK and operating further branches in Barcelona, Edinburgh, Melbourne and London. We provide both package and bespoke nightlife tours and organised bar crawls. For more information visit the website here.

**The Role**: The following will be carried out under the supervision and guidance of the Barcelona Manager:
Guiding the ‘Main Crawl’ - Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, checking their tickets, explaining what to expect from the night, introducing them to the other members of the crawl, giving ‘5-minute warnings’ and ensuring that no one is left behind when moving between venues. You may be sent to check ahead with venues to see that they are ready to receive the group or assigned to look after customers who have had ‘one too many’ until they are either safely sent home or ready to re-join the group.
Guiding private crawls - These are usually stag/hen dos with occasional birthdays and office parties thrown in. The core duties are very similar to those on the ‘Main Crawl’.
Photography - A large number of varied, high-quality photos should be taken throughout the night.
Problem-solving - You’ll be required to think on your feet and find solutions. Large groups of drunk customers mixed with strict ID laws and door policies can lead to many unforeseen circumstances. As such, workarounds that please both our partner venues and the customers are essential.
Socialising - the customer experience is a very important part of our tours and as such the guides need to be very outgoing and have the ability to make people enjoy their presence. Any ‘down-time’ between other duties should be filled with ensuring that all customers are happy and feeling comfortable or otherwise ‘making friends’.

**Experience**: no previous experience needed but is preferred. All training is provided.

The below skills are desirable but not essential:

- Fluent Castillian.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, experience in customer-facing roles in hospitality.
- Knowledge of photography, especially in an events or nightlife setting.
- Other foreign Language skills.
- An advanced ability to be able to problem-solve under pressure.

**What you will get**: All training will be provided and ongoing throughout your time working with us. Depending on the company workload the hours may vary and you will be remunerated in kind.

**Development Opportunities**: Guides who show consistent promise whilst working for us have opportunities for advancement. First as a supervisor on the Barcelona crawl and then if all goes well as the manager of one of our crawls (unless the Barcelona Manager position is vacant this will require the applicant to be willing to re-locate).

Pay: 11.00€ per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- 08002 Barcelona, Barcelona: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
