VP Regulatory Tax Compliance

**SCIB Compliance Europe is looking for a VP Regulatory Tax Compliance, based in the EU.**

The SCIB Europe Compliance team was established to support Santander CIB branches in Europe with knowledge and expertise on specialized compliance topics, such as Financial Crime Compliance, Data Protection and Tax regulations. The team also has a dedicated group of professionals working on the continuous improvement of internal Compliance processes and bringing Compliance MI to the next level.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- Oversee all aspects of regulatory tax compliance with FATCA and CRS.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulations and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders. Update policies and procedures to reflect such changes.
- Serve as a trusted, 2nd line of defence advisor to the business on the legal requirements of FATCA and CRS.
- Support the annual Risk & Control self-assessment process by advising the business on FATCA and CRS inherent risks and mitigating controls of the business units in Europe.
- Provide independent challenge of 1st line of defence risk assessment results.
- Develop and provide training on tax regulations to employees.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, preferably in the financial sector.
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Expert knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulations and reporting requirements.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts.
- Proven ability to work independently and to collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies.
