**Laboratory Technician**

**Biomedical Research in Urology**

The Research Group in Urology is a multidisciplinary group formed by clinical specialists in Urology,

Oncology, Pathology and Basic Researchers with extensive experience in the biology of prostate, renal, and

bladder cancer. The collaboration between clinicians and basic researchers allows for an easier identification

of unresolved issues in the current treatments/management of patients with urologic diseases. This

mechanisms at the base of disease progression. A deeper understanding of the pathways involved in the

progression of these cancers is necessary to advance in the development of preventive and curative

treatment strategies.

Contract linked to the project “TARTAGLIA: Red Federada de Inteligencia Artificial para acelerar la

Investigación Sanitaria”. Funding by Ministerio de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital within

NextGeneration funds.

**Education and qualifications**:

FP-II/CFGS (laboratory technician or similar)

**Desired: -**

Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English.

**Experience and knowledge: -**

Technical experience in a laboratory.

Experience in the field of molecular and cancer biology.
- Strong sense of responsibility, organization, initiative and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Management of biological samples.
- Processing and maintenance of a collection of biological samples.
- General laboratory management.

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: as soon as possible.
- Gross annual salary: (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our
Collective Agreement pay scale)
