We are currently looking for a Team Lead to join our growing HR team. This person will provide regional services oversight of the newly established People Services team in EMEA. The People Services function serves as a centralized point of contact for those needing HR assistance and is responsible for Tier 1 support for HR and colleagues throughout the business. The team lead will manage the day-to-day operations of the regional team in EMEA and will serve as the point of escalation for any ongoing issues. This will triaging incoming questions, concerns, and situations as needed and escalating concerns as needed. The Team Lead will be expected to act as the direct manager for the People Services Specialists in the EMEA region by providing ongoing guidance, training, and communication to the regional team and to identify and establish improved processes and best practices.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
- 5-7 years experience in a similar role
- Experience leading a successful team based in multiple countries
- General knowledge/experience in Human Resources topics and processes
- Significant experience in Human Resources for multiple countries throughout the EMEA region
- Excellent command of English
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

- Experience leading a dispersed/international team based on different countries
- Additional language skills like Spanish, French or German would be preferred
- Additional language skills such as Catalan, Dutch or Italian will be valued
- Experience using Workday, Docusign, Excel, and Word
What will you be doing in this role?
- Serving as the point of escalation for junior team members
- Focusing on continuous process improvement, simplification, and automation as appropriate
- Developing training materials for new joiners to the People Services team
- Leading the onboarding of new junior members of the People Services team
- Managing the People Services Specialists within their region
- Providing guidance for non-standard inquiries and escalating or coordination cross-functionally as needed
- Assisting in the development of scripts and responses for the Specialists
- Liaising with the Process & Content Lead to create process documentation
- Training and cross-training the team as new policies, processes, and procedures are developed
- Providing triage and coverage planning for the team
- Ensuring that the team is adhering to established SLAs
- Coordinating large scale or project work
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy of data and responses from the team
- Maintaining templates for the region and auditing for relevance and accuracy
- Partnering with the team to ensure colleagues receive a consistent response and experience
- Ensuring completeness of employee files
- Liaising with COEs to develop responses to enquiries or routing to the appropriate contact for escalation
About the Team
- You’ll be reporting to the Sr. Director People Services based on the East Coast in USA
- You’ll have a team of 7 direct reports based in Spain, UK, Belgium, Germany, and Serbia
- Active volunteering community, with 40 annual paid hours of volunteering time

Hours of Work
This role is 40 hour per week EU hours and we offer a full time permanent contract. Please note that the position is hybrid going a couple of days per week to our Barcelona office (next to Sagrada Familia)
