**Research Technician position**

**Ophthalmology**

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Research Technician to join our team. This role will be critical in

advancing our understanding of retinal degenerative diseases and identifying novel therapeutic targets. The team is

focused on developing in vitro retinal organoid models for drug discovery, disease research and developing new

therapies for retinal diseases

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**

Bachelor’s Degree and Master in Biomedicine Sciences
- Animal experimentation course
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: -**

Minimum 1 years of experience in animal handling and ocular surgery techniques
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cell culture, with a strong focus on hiPSC and organoid development
- Solid understanding and experience with various molecular biology techniques, including IHC/ICC, PCRs,
western blots, and confocal microscopy

Experience in retinal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Support of researchers, sample processing, lab managing
- Cell culture
- Animal model handling

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediate.
- Gross annual salary: 20.757,00 euros
- Contract**:Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
