Managing the Quality and Food Safety department for West Europe means improving the Food, Feed Quality and Safety at operational, tactical and strategical level, while focusing on functional and career development of people and our customer needs. In the role of **Quality and Food Safety (QFS) Manager for West Europe**, you’ll be responsible for the Quality and Food/Feed safety (QFS) of 6 factories in Spain, France, Italy and The Netherlands. In this role, you have an essential job in the organization. By partnering with the Leadership team you will influence the business strategy, development and execution. Followed by improving business processes and reducing risk by continues improvement projects and manufacturing excellence in QFS.

As regional QFS Manager You’ll be a functional leader for local QFS Managers and have one direct report in Barcelona. The role is a great combination of strategical, tactical and operational, as you will lead development, implementation and improvement the Quality & Food/Feed Safety Management and the Bunge BPS Continuous Improvement Systems. These systems ensure that all products placed on the market comply with Food /Feed Safety, Regulatory and Food Information legislation and your regulatory expertise supports the business to open new commercial channels, increase customers satisfaction and loyalty.

The Quality and Food/Feed Safety Management systems are core to the department. You organize, coordinate and execute the BPS QFS Pillar assessment/audit process. Simultaneously, ensuring preparedness within the region for external audits by agencies. In addition, you organize quality reviews in relation to activities and services by third parties. The team monitors production methods and product safety and works with cross-functional partners on improvement initiatives through the organization. You identify deviations, provide input for changes in products to stakeholders and coordinate risk analysis and mitigation along the supply chains (farm to fork).

**What do we expect from you?**
- A Bachelor Degree in Food Processing, Food Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in leading Global or Regional Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory in Food/Feed Industry, preferably in same industry
- Good knowledge of GFSI benchmark systems; BRC, IFS, FSSC22000 for food and EFISC GMP for feed
- Continuously improvements approach/Kaizen/Lean Implementation
- Customer focus and business orientation
- Able to lead, decide, influence, mentor and coach
- Results oriented ‘’ winner’’ mentality.
- High level of personal drive and commitment
- Professionally mature, able to engage at all levels
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
- Fluent business English mandatory. Spanish language is preferred. Other languages in the region are beneficial.
