Associate Director, Ie Impact

Overview:
IE University (IEU) is a private university with campuses located in Segovia and Madrid (Spain). IEU programs are offered in English and Spanish, and are compliant with the terms of the European Education Area (Bologna Accords).

**IE IMPACT** is a transversal academic program, totaling 21 ECTS, required of all IEU undergraduate students. Consisting of courses in the
**Humanities**,
**Technology** and
**Entrepreneurship**, IE IMPACT reinforces these three foundational pillars of IE University, and centers Diversity and Sustainability throughout the entire learning journey, which culminates with the
**IE Challenge**.

Students from all IE schools and bachelor degrees come together in this dynamic program where they are introduced to some of the most complex issues and challenges facing societies; they develop a working knowledge of the disruptive technologies that are applied to address these challenges and contemplate their implications. Students develop an entrepreneurial mindset by learning to ideate, design and validate business models that can serve to make positive change happen over the long-term. Finally, student teams tackle real-world problems by ideating and designing proposals to help a startup or company advance, amplify or scale their impact on achieving one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Associate Director of IE Impact reports to the Executive Director and is primarily responsible for spearheading efforts related to the smooth operational execution of the four academic courses in the IE Impact Learning Journey, as well as the initiation of the design and execution of “beyond-the-classroom” IE Impact activities that will be aimed at highlighting and deepening awareness and understanding (by students, faculty and staff) of the applicability of the skills, mindsets and knowledge espoused by IE’s values, which are core to the IE Impact program.

We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual who is enthusiastic about higher education innovation and working with undergraduate students, as well as entrepreneurship, innovation and technology, the humanities, diversity and sustainability.

The most relevant roles, responsibilities and tasks of the Associate Director include, but are not limited to:
IE Impact - Applicability & Engagement
- In conjunction with the Executive Director and Academic Directors, serve as the lead administrator to create an inclusive and relevant IE Impact program for students, both in and out of the classroom.
- Support Executive Director in creating a committee aimed at highlighting the applicability and benefit of IE’s core values and its commitment to sustainability in terms of developing students into leaders of positive change.
- Develop IE Impact as well as co-created (with other internal partners) initiatives and events, aimed at deepening students’ learning, related to the IE Impact mission of developing leaders of positive change.
- Identify faculty to participate in “Everyday Impact” in Conversation Series, to further deepen the connections between IE’s Pillars and everyday life, industry domains, etc.
- Coordinate and align activities and processes with each of the Academic Directors of the IE Impact.
- Work with Academic Directors and Faculty to share outcomes of the Applicability Committee and work to get them incorporated into the instructional design of IE Impact courses.
- Create a Wiki or some form of a repository of resources for Faculty to consult to help them have examples and case studies or use cases available to share in class with students.
- Organize and meet with Class and Student Delegates from each of the schools and bachelor programs to solicit continuous feedback and share outcomes of Committees.

IE Impact Development:

- Assist the Executive Director in the innovation and execution of IE Impact, with regard to the academic courses and “beyond-the-classroom” activities.
- Assist the Executive Director in the formation, development and cohesion of IE Impact’s team.
- Supervise, coordinate and coach Program Coordinators in the everyday academic coordination of each of the 4 courses.

Interaction with Students and Professors:

- Propose, oversee and review development of new procedures, academic guides and other materials (for students and faculty) from Program Coordinators.
- Manage communications and relationships with class delegates, with support of program coordinators.
- Identify new ways to improve the student experience, as well as faculty support.
- Liaise directly or coordinate communications executed by program coordinators with professors to communicate specific student or group situations, request feedback, ensure timely submission of grades, syllabi, etc.
- Meet with students to solve issues, offer advice and/or give support with empathy and sensitivity.

Interaction with other departments:

- In conjunction with the Execut
