Overview:
The Office of the Provost has been recently created to support the long-term strategic planning of the University, manage academic partnerships and alliances, and further develop other strategic partnerships with non-academic institutions, such as the United Nations and other international organizations. The Office also hosts the Center for the Governance of Change and the Division of Arts and Humanities
The Associate Director will be responsible for the delivery and day-to-day management of the strategic programs coordinated by the Provost Office. The incumbent will report to the Senior Director of the Provost Office, who reports to the Vice Provost for Strategy and Development. He/she will manage Program Coordinators and Program Assistants, who may be assigned to specific projects, and will interact with other staff members, faculty, students, and external entities. The post will be located at the IE Tower in Madrid.
**Responsibilities**:
- Interact with potential and current partners, build trust, assess needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Support the design and coordination of strategic collaborations, programs, analyses, and plans.
- Collaborate with university’s schools and departments in strategic initiatives.
- Manage and/or monitor programs and ensure its successful delivery.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and supervise key operational and administrative processes.
- Supervise, coordinate, and coach program assistants and coordinators.
- Support internal and external communications, as well as resource mobilization initiatives.
- Carry out other related functions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a top-ranked university.
- Fluency (written & oral) in both English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, partnership building and/or project coordination/management.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a multilateral organization is a plus.
- Experience in the educational sector is a plus.
- Experience in consultancy firms is a plus.
- International experience is a plus.
- Enthusiasm, team spirit and strong willingness to have an impact.
- Ability to work under pressure.
