The European Amazon Logistics team is seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Design, Simulation and Drafting Technician to join our Design Engineering team. This role is crucial in creating the foundational designs that power our delivery station network, ensuring optimal layout and functionality that drives operational excellence. As a member of the EU Amazon Logistics Design team, you will collaborate with Design Engineers to create detailed CAD layouts and stations simulations that bring delivery station concepts to life. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our delivery stations, contributing to Amazon's customer-centric mission through thoughtful design implementations. Key Job responsibilities: - Create detailed interior layout drawings with high precision, incorporating material handling equipment, work areas, and operational components. - Simulate new process and technologies to improve the efficiency of the delivery stations - Partner with cross-functional teams including Design Engineers, World Wide Engineering, Pre-Construction, and external vendors to deliver approved design sets. - Drive quality control through peer reviews and adherence to design standards. - Incorporate new technologies and process improvements to enhance safety, quality, and productivity - Support post-permit design updates, expansions, and retrofits to optimize delivery station operations A day in the life You'll work closely with Design Engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed layout. You will be responsible of simulating different new technologies and processes to improve the output of a delivery station. Your day will include participating in design review sessions, collaborating with architects and MHE vendors, and ensuring designs meet our exacting standards. You'll be instrumental in creating solutions that optimize space utilization while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. About the team What do we do? Our team partners closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to identify, design and develop best-in-class process infrastructure and process layouts, and deliver them as EU AMZL network standards. - Experience with 3D modeling, AutoTURN, Revit, and BIM software
- Background in warehouse and distribution center design
