**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

**Santander Consumer Finance **is looking for a **Chief Risk Officer **based in our **Hefei office.**

**Santander Consumer Finance **focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centers or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As **Chief Risk Officer **you will help us in different fronts:

- Chairman of the Risk Committee and Loan Committee and member of the relevant Committees in the Unit.
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's comprehensive Risk Management Framework, policy development, and compliance with laws and regulations applicable to all financial and non-financial risks.
- Ensure effective and precise processes for identifying, compiling, and analyzing information related to risk, including implementing governance and risk management programs within the different activities and areas of the company.
- Report to the Board on important issues related to all Risks: identification, assessment, and design of mitigation plans.
- Advice to the Board of Directors and executive management on best practices to address issues related to governance, risk, and controls of the risks.
- Ensure correct evaluation of business proposals, new products, or modifications, contemplating all the significant risks, visible or potential of the company and third parties, to adequately manage, measure, monitor, and control the risks.
- Representation of Risk in front of Internal Auditors and Regulatory Authorities, promoting a positive image of the company related to Risk and Control.
- Ensure having a Risk Organization and Team that allows the correct management of the company's risks, regarding Risk Control and Oversight, Retail Risk Management and Corporate Risk Management.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in risk management in Retail Banks or Auto Finance Institutions. Knowledge or Experience in the Chinese market will be valued.
- Substantial experience in managing financial and non-financial risks, including counterparty and operational risks in China.
- Proven ability to understand Company-wide issues and structure solutions to ensure effective risk control and management.

EDUCATION
- University degree is requested, and MBA or equivalent in Risk Management or related fields will be highly valued.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Extensive knowledge and experience of modern Retail risk management concepts, methods, and processes.
- Demonstrable track record with proven ability to lead, advise and motivate the team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
- Chinese verbal and writing communication would be valued
