**Job Description**:
The Medical Scientist (MS, commonly known as MSL) is a field-based medical-scientific expert in the assigned Therapeutic Area. The MS assumes full responsibility for all Medical activities within the assigned territory and executes the field medical strategy under the guidance of the MS Lead.

Support scientifically in the hospitals to the main Hemato-oncology opinion leaders in his or her region.

Conducts meaningful scientific exchange and communicates complex scientific information and data in an organized and fair/balanced manner while demonstrating judgment and integrity in accordance with the highest ethical and compliance standards, including Gilead’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct policies, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements such as the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Spanish laws.

Disseminates scientific and clinical data about Kite products, particularly those related with cell therapy and to the treatment of patients with lymphoproliferative disorders, to opinion-leaders, healthcare professionals, academic institutions and payers.

Actively collaborates with the office
- and field-based national and international Medical Affairs

Identify, map and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in his / her assigned region

Establishes strong scientific relationships with KOLs.

Responds to clinical inquiries in an accurate, unbiased, fair, balanced and timely fashion.

Support investigators and collaborates with internal Kite & Gilead personnel on Cell Therapy External Research Program.

Assists with site selection for KiteSponsored phase I-III clinical trials according to the request from Clinical Research teams.

Develops and executes regional plans, activities, and scientific exchanges based upon the Medical Affairs Plan of Action.

Participate in advisory boards, symposia, and other educational programs as well as scientific conferences.

Provides feedback and insights received from the field to internal stakeholders.

Works collaboratively with other cross-functional teams in Gilead such as Sales and Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access, Government affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Legal/Business Conduct etc. Provides scientific and technical support to internal colleagues.

Must be committed to self-continuing education to maintain abreast of all relevant scientific data.

Utilizes scientific resources to deliver impactful presentation in a variety of settings.

Travels to appointments with physicians in Spain, internal meetings in the office, and medical conferences in Spain or abroad on a frequent and regular basis, occasionally with short notice.

Knowledge/Skills

o M.D,PhD, BSc or Pharm.D. An specialization in Cell therapy and/or Hemato-oncology will be highly valued.

o Knowledge in the diagnosis and management of lymphoproliferative disorders and in cell therapy (including stem cell transplantation) is highly desirable.

o Previous experience in Medical Affairs departments of the pharmaceutical industry will be valued.

o Understanding of the patient journey across all care levels in the health system is preferred.

o Demonstrated ability to work remotely and independently.

o Capacity to develop and deliver high-quality presentations is essential.

o Affinity for a collaborative, team-oriented environment and approach; ability to network and partner with internal and external stakeholders, including medical opinion-leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, and pharmacy directors.

o Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the management of multiple priorities and resources.

o Strong scientific skills/acumen; translation of scientific expertise and knowledge to achieve the identified business goals of the company.

o Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required.

o Fluency in oral and written Spanish and English is required.
