DESCRIPTION

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is revolutionizing how we manage our last-mile delivery network through Central Operations, a key strategic initiative transforming route planning, scheduling, and delivery execution. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Process Analyst to join our EU Central Operations team as a People Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our delivery network operations.

In this role, you'll lead a team of analysts while driving critical improvements in our intra-week forecasting and capacity management processes. You'll be at the intersection of operations, technology, and analytics, working with cross-functional teams across worldwide partners to design and implement scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in automating complex business decisions, developing mathematical models for real-time operations, and creating innovative approaches to solve operational challenges.

As a senior member of the team, you'll collaborate with multiple stakeholders including Finance, Long Term Planning teams, Technical and Science teams. You'll be responsible for developing and mentoring team members while driving process improvements that impact key performance metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Delivery Success Rate, Volume Losses or Speed decisions. You will work with AMZL Last Mile technologies that will be crucial in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.

You'll have the chance to influence the design of new operational processes, develop metrics and tools built into AMZL platforms, and partner with Planning, Transportation, Last Mile Tech, and business expansion teams to scale Central Operations effectively. Your ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable recommendations will be key in driving strategic decisions that shape the future of our last-mile delivery network.

Key job responsibilities
Leadership & People Management:

- Lead and develop a team of analysts, providing mentorship, career guidance, and performance management
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning
- Drive analytical best practices and establish quality standards across the team
- Actively participate in recruiting and interviewing to build high-performing teams
- Support and coach other business analysts (BAs) through mentorship and coaching activities

Technical & Analysis:

- Scope, design, and deliver solutions to automate processes and support decisions, either in-house or in partnership with external stakeholders
- Develop complex business analyses for identifying defects and cost-out opportunities
- Design mathematical models for real-time decision-making operations
- Leverage advanced SQL and Python skills to access and analyze complex data sets efficiently
- Implement automation of business decisions within operational processes
- Drive process improvements at scale to increase operations efficiency and quality while improving execution speed

Strategic Impact:

- Provide proactive analyses to support long-term organizational goals
- Generate recommendations that influence organizational business decisions
- Partner with strategic key partners to drive process improvements
- Identify and mitigate long-term risks while making appropriate trade-offs
- Optimize daily operational tasks to enhance team productivity and reduce defects
- Respond to new or changing business needs while balancing multi-year initiatives through innovation and decision-making

Communication & Influence:

- Present complex decisions and recommendations to senior leadership
- Write and present strategic documentation (6-pagers, PR/FAQs, QBR/MBR narratives)
- Foster constructive dialogue and lead resolution of contentious issues
- Communicate effectively across diverse functions, roles, and locations
- Influence technical and non-technical stakeholders to align priorities of tech features requests
- Build trust through sharing data-driven insights and concerns with stakeholders, enabling aligned decision-making

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines or equivalent
- Vast experience in analytics, process improvement, or related field
- Experience in people management or supervisory role with team management responsibilities
- Demonstrable relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related - Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
