IT Business Analyst

**Our opportunity**

As an IT Business Analyst, you augment a high-profile team of business analysts, solution architects and developers working on a strategic project for Commercial Insurance. You will take the responsibility to complete the elicitation of business requirements and their translation into data structures and business rules throughout the entire project lifecycle. You have a sound knowledge in IT, data modelling, insurance industry and a vast interest to deepen your domain knowledge in Commercial Insurance and International Program business.

**Your role**

**As **an IT Business Analyst your main responsibilities will involve**:

- Produces requirement specifications and outlines data mapping design documents throughout the value chain
- Defines and governs data structures for business rules and business data
- Owning the Commercial Insurance Common Model and defining the technical implementation patterns together with the lead solution architects and the development team
- Adapts and applies different delivery methodologies determining the best for the specific project
- Analyses and manages requirement risk and supports the prioritization of the requirements
- Contributes to business cases, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope definition and development of a high-level schedule
- Engages in data mapping and design sessions across teams and business units
- Participates in development of test plan, testing, implementation, and training activities
- Conducts post implementation activities including problem solving and measurement of benefits achieved
- Working location in Bratislava or Barcelona

**Your Skills and Experience**

**As an IT Business Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include**:

- Sound knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally Commercial Insurance a/o underwriting domain
- Insurance data model structure a/o BI knowledge
- Experience in capturing complex data requirements, analyze them and translate them into easily understandable functional requirements and data models
- Being experienced working in an agile delivery environment, feeling comfortable in complex global project setups and able to work in a multi-vendor and multi-cultural team
- A master’s degree or comparable qualification preferably in IT, business information or equivalent
- 2 - 5 years working experience as business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert in the Insurance Industry or comparable position in a data modelling function
- Balanced mix of business acumen as well as affinity to technologies, systems as well as data and its structures
- Advanced English language skills, orally and in writing.
