**Job Description**:
The Business Development Associate focuses on customer acquisition, often known as 'Insides Sales'. This position is responsible for searching new potential clients-leads and reaching out to relevant prospects to bring new business opportunities.
The BD Associate has a commercial mindset and works very closely with the BD Field sales team. Each BD associate buddies with only a few BD Directors, to jointly work on covering/prospecting a dedicated sales territory.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support overall Sales and Business Development team in generating new business and achieving company’s targets and expectations
- Generate and pre-qualify new leads by using appropriate company resources and tools
- Research leads and identify relevant prospects through various systems and data pools
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with all necessary calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
- Develop pre and post conference mail shots and or follow ups
- Followup to Marketing leads generated from Websites for conversion of Hot Leads
- Support the development of targeted e mail campaigns in line with the strategic company targets
- Maintain and update data in the CRM system daily and promptly
- Schedule appointments, attend or present at various meetings as needed
- Prepare and support early engagement presentations with clients to facilitate RFPs - Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in an inside sales / lead generation position from the CRO industry
- Ideally some previous mentoring experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English is essential, additional languages a benefit
- Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce & Databases
