European Financial Controller

Position Overview

Boldyn Networks is seeking a dynamic and experienced European Financial Controller to lead the accounting and financial control function across its European operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of scalable financial systems and processes to support the company’s ambitious growth.

As a key member of the finance leadership team, you will report directly to the CFO and manage a team of five finance professionals. You will also spearhead the implementation of a new ERP system and drive automation initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting- Lead accounting operations across five European legal entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including management accounts and variance analysis.- Ensure timely and accurate consolidation submissions to Group Finance.- Approve complex journal entries and reconciliations.- Continuously improve reporting processes and financial insights.

Internal Controls & Compliance- Design and enforce robust internal controls to protect company assets.- Ensure timely and accurate statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.- Identify and mitigate financial risks across jurisdictions.

ERP Implementation- Lead the end-to-end rollout of a new ERP system across all European entities.- Define business requirements, manage testing and deployment, and ensure adoption.- Collaborate with IT, Group Finance, and external vendors.

Process Improvement & Automation- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes.- Introduce digital tools and scalable workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.- Standardize best practices across countries.

Leadership & Team Development- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture.- Manage relationships with external accountants and auditors.- Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development.

Cash Flow & Working Capital- Monitor and manage regional cash flow and liquidity.- Optimize working capital in coordination with local teams.

Audit & Stakeholder Engagement- Lead annual statutory audits and ensure clean audit outcomes.- Prepare audit documentation and financial packages.- Provide financial insights and strategic support to the CFO and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Financial Controller or similar role.- Proven experience managing multi-entity, multi-country operations in Europe.- Strong background in public accounting and in-house finance, ideally in telecoms, infrastructure, or construction.- Deep knowledge of IFRS, tax legislation, and statutory compliance across jurisdictions.- Demonstrated success in ERP implementation and cross-border team leadership.
