At Procurement Marketing & Sales, we engage with external expertise across the world to ensure that the content and channels of communication remain relevant, effective and compliant. Our agencies and suppliers are essential to support the strategic ambitions of all three divisions.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
You understand the broadest definition of value to include not only savings but also innovation, quality, sustainability, and risk mitigation as well as cashflow improvement. You will ensure alignment & compliance with Procurement guidelines and process standards to deliver against all elements of this value.
You will help develop global category strategies and drive their implementation in the EMEA region, focusing on Congress & Events and Sales Operations.
To be successful, you need to collaborate with division-focused Business Partners to develop tailored Procurement programs and you will identify opportunities that can be delivered through co-operation and alignment across Bayer, ensuring we are crafting the right connections between our internal and external networks.
Equally important is how you shape our approach to agency management. We need to get the very best results from the very best agencies, and this requires a true partnership approach, together with an adequate Category understanding, to manage and monitor key suppliers’ performance, agreements & contracts.
You will execute strategic and high value sourcing events, including negotiations, awarding and implementation. For all other sourcing activities, you will manage our external service provider resources in the region to ensure appropriate support.
You will be part of a global team of over 60 trusted marketing procurement professionals and join the Regional Category Team CDCE with 6 colleagues.
**ABOUT YOU**
You have a BA/BS, or preferably MBA/MS degree and a minimum of 10 years professional business experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience; focus on procurement or marketing communications beneficial).
You can demonstrate strong collaboration, influencing and communication skills across cultures and functions.
You have a solid background and expertise in Procurement, procurement processes and methodologies (e.g. strategic sourcing and supplier management).
You enjoy working in a global and virtual working environment and you are able to coordinate and lead virtual teams (also without r-line responsibility). This includes leading external sourcing partners.
It would be ideal if you already have regional market insights and category expertise.
You have strong change management and project management skills.
And you have a high proficiency level in English.
