European Alliances Strategic Manager

The Universitat Abat Oliba CEU is seeking a highly qualified Strategic Manager to lead and coordinate the implementation of the European Alliance project EUonAir, focused on artificial intelligence (AI), in collaboration with 10 European universities. This position is crucial to ensure the project's success, meeting strategic, regulatory, and quality objectives established under the European Alliances framework.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Management: Develop and implement strategies to ensure the achievement of EUonAir project goals, with an emphasis on integrating AI into education and other key sectors.
- Policy and Quality Coordination: Ensure compliance with European regulations, including quality and sustainability standards, while proposing innovative AI-related policies.
- Data and Metrics Management: Design and oversee systems for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting relevant data to assess project progress and impact.
- Leadership: Coordinate interdisciplinary and multicultural teams, fostering effective collaboration among European partners.
- Communication: Establish and maintain smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing negotiation and communication skills in Spanish, English, and other relevant European languages.
- Reporting: Prepare technical and strategic reports in compliance with project and European Commission requirements.
- Team Building: Contribute to the creation and effective functioning of a solid team for the EUonAir project.
Minimum Requirements
- Academic Background: A university degree, preferably in social sciences, public policy, project management, or technology-related fields.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing European projects, particularly in initiatives related to technology, AI, or educational innovation.
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum C1). Knowledge of other European languages is highly valued.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in European public policies, quality indicators, data analysis, and collaborative project implementation.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership abilities, resilience under pressure, and experience managing multicultural relationships.
- Technological Skills: Familiarity with EU portals, Excel, and Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in research or educational projects related to artificial intelligence.
- Familiarity with EU strategic alliances and Erasmus+ programs.
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
