Beat Games is proudly a part of Reality Labs organization at Meta. We have big plans for our game and to achieve that we are looking for a Technical Artist to join our studio in Prague to help take Beat Saber to the next level. We are an award-winning game studio based in Prague, Czech Republic. Our game has sold over 4 million copies to date and we collaborated with huge artists such as Billie Eilish and BTS. This is a key role in building the future of VR games and entertainment with the Beat Games team. We are a growing team of leaders in the VR industry at the cutting edge of where music and games come together. This role will help deliver new features, services, and improvements to Beat Saber across multiple VR platforms.
**Technical Artist
- Games Responsibilities**:
- Work within Unity to create dynamic effects for rich virtual worlds supporting genre defining musicians
- Support the creative teams with innovative visual prototypes and performant shaders
- Develop and support the 3d art pipeline tools, workflows, documentation
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions within the constraints of the project
**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Strong understanding of game development production pipelines
- Experience in developing tools to automate/streamline production
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of Unity's rendering pipelines
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the games industry
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in VFX creation for games / film
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant skills
- Experience in digital art content creation
- VR or mobile development experience
