As our new Magento Tech Lead, you will be defining technical solutions specifically for
the Magento platform and will act in a leadership role to provide technical guidance. The
technical lead will also play an active role in the identification and creation of all
necessary documentation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Interact with clients to translate business needs into system requirements, design
- Ensure that new or existing systems meet business requirements and practices and
addressed satisfactorily
- Work closely with business partners on providing a POV on technical/process
recommendations and solutions.
- Develop well structured and easily maintained code.
- Prepare documentation of developed programs and processes.
- Ensure team members follow established technical standards.
- Prepare estimates for complex projects to provide management with information
needed to accurately forecast project delivery dates.
- Provide production support to existing systems.
- Assist in the mentoring, training and development of the Technical team.
- Design and development of third party (backend) integrations like
Address/Shipping/Tax validation, Payment, CRM, OMS and PIM.
- Works with technical teams to devise or modify procedures/processes to solve
complex problems.
What experience and qualities will you have?:
- 4+ years of experience with PHP/Magento 2 Development.
- 1+ years of experience in a Tech Lead role or similar.
- Development of new plugins for mostly Magento Enterprise/Adobe Commerce
- Expert in PHP 7 web development and general object oriented programming.
- Good understanding of object oriented development design patterns and PHP
coding standards
- LAMP/LEMP Stack expert and good experience using other 3rd party libraries and
frameworks such as Symphony and Laravel
- Experience working with Docker and/or Vagrant
- Good working experience of general web technologies with the following preferred:
JavaScript, XML/ XSL, SOAP, GraphQL, REST, HTML5, CSS3
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems e.g (ERP, CRM, OMS, payment
gateway system, middleware and other systems) from top providers such as
Microsoft, SAP, IBM and Oracle.
- Understanding and working knowledge of other Magento product lines such as
Magento Cloud, BI and OMS
- Self-motivated, positive attitude and keen to learn new relevant technologies
- Good communicator, critical thinker and impressive problem-solving skills.
- Contribution of Magento open source development
