The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations with a strong emphasis on General Ledger integrity, compliance with internal controls, and preparation of accurate financial statements.

This role plays a key leadership role in managing the Accounts Payable (AP) accounting team, overseeing tax compliance and filings, supporting internal and external audit processes, and ensuring adherence to SOX and other regulatory requirements. The Accounting Manager also contributes to strategic decision making by delivering meaningful financial insights.

Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily accounting activities, including GL activities, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting accuracy
- Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and adherence to company policies
- Lead the coordination and support of external and internal audits, ensuring all documentation and controls are in place and compliant
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and review of filings and collaboration with external tax advisors
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOX-compliant internal control policies and procedures across accounting functions
- Analyze financial data to support business objectives and operational efficiency

Skill Requirements/Preferences
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, Big 4 experience is a strong plus
- Experience managing or supporting external audits and working with internal control
- Knowledge of corporate tax compliance and coordination of tax filings
- Ability to lead and develop accounting teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish & English)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
