Innovation Manager

**Full-time position at the EIT Manufacturing West’s Headquarter in Donostia-San**_

**About the position**
The Innovation Manager position at EIT Manufacturing Co-Location Center (CLC) West will be responsible of facilitating and driving regional EIT Manufacturing innovation projects in countries of the CLC perimeter: Spain, France and Portugal. She/he will support the implementation of EIT Manufacturing’s innovation strategy on a European level and act as a reference manufacturing expert for selected technologies. The Innovation Manager will also be in charge of monitoring and advising the EIT Manufacturing projects portfolio assigned to her/him.

The position reports directly to the CLC West Director and indirectly to the EIT Manufacturing Director of Innovation. It also includes the supervision of an Innovation Officer.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Contribute to the development of EIT Manufacturing and the EIT Manufacturing innovation pillar. o Collaborate with Innovation Managers at Headquarters and the other EIT Manufacturing
- Co-Location Centers in Gothenburg/SE, Vienna/AU, Milan/IT, Darmstadt/DE andAthens/GR.
- Continuously improve the innovation strategy with other members of the innovation team.
- Support the development of AGORA, EIT Manufacturing’s social media and open innovation platform.
- Continuously acquire and analyse the knowledge of the target groups of EITManufacturing, assess to what extent ongoing projects meet the needs of those target groups.
- Collaborate in the partnership (members of EIT Manufacturing) management and development.
- Monitor a portfolio of EIT Manufacturing innovation projects, supporting their execution and development.
- Be EIT Manufacturing’s contact person for day-to-day interaction with project leaders.
- Participate in remote or physical meetings of the projects. o Monitor the progress of the projects by assessing their Key Performance Indicators and collaborate with the project leaders to ensure high impact and promote their results.
- Support for the implementation of mechanisms for the financial sustainability of projects.
- Organise project review meetings, reviewing and assessing project deliverables and progress reports submitted by project leaders.
- Represent the innovation pillar at CLC level. o Take an active role in engaging with current and potential EIT Manufacturing members and ensure that innovation needs from external stakeholders are reflected within the EIT
- Manufacturing innovation strategy. o Brokering between EIT Manufacturing members in different CLCs to facilitate the buildup of value added projects.
- Take an active role in facilitating networking and community development on CLC perimeter and liaising with others CLCs.
- Take an active rol in the Innovation service development and commercialization.

**Qualifications**:

- You hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent related to entrepreneurship, commerce, business management AND/OR a Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering Science. University or professional education related to the manufacturing sector is a clear plus.
- You have a strong track record on project management, tools for managing complex projects including financials, confirmed by relevant experiences in technology sector.
- You are fluent in English and Spanish. Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus, especially in the languages of the CLC perimeter.
- You have a very good command of the Microsoft Office Tool Suite and web collaboration tools.

**Skills**:

- You have a proven ability for building cross-disciplinary alliances between industry, public sector, research, education, and other stakeholders.
- You have gained expertise through your professional experience in one of the following topics: Sustainability, Resilience or human-centric technologies/processes in Manufacturing
- You have strong analytical capability and critical thinking.
- You are creative, with innovative problem solving skills.
- You are commercially minded with a combination of business acumen and technological skills.
- You have a strong sense of ownership with proven record of delivering results.
- You combine strong communication, representation and negotiation skills.
- You are proactive, independent and trustworthy.

**Experience (strong plus)**:

- You have developed entrepreneurial thinking and a customer-oriented mindset.
- You have a track record in program/project management and monitoring, especially managing innovation activities.
- You have experience in service design and service commercialization.
