Generator System Integration Leader

**Job Description Summary**: The Generator System Leader will lead engineering or customer programs within the Offshore Wind Engineering Generator team, working to develop world class Generator designs for the Offshore Wind market.
You will work in a multidisciplinary and diverse team to which you will provide technical leadership through all phases of product development, from requirements definition through design and development, to validation and product life-cycle support and be ultimately responsible for the design.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- You will lead Engineering developments within the Offshore Generator team, working together with System Engineers to define subsystem level requirements and interfaces with other subsystems and align within the Generator team the required development scope and tasks.
- You will follow up and support execution and make sure adherence to the applicable processes to deliver with the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- You will own and lead Generator design reviews demonstrating compliance to product and program requirements in front of the review board.
- You will represent technically the Generator and all the components in the scope of the subsystem in meetings with other teams, functions, and customers.
- You will provide technical explanations and participate in customer due diligences.
- You will support Generator field issue investigations, RCAs and SAFER cases.
**Required Qualifications**
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 5-10 years of experience in Engineering technical leadership roles
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to deal with multiple stakeholders in matrix organizations.
- Positive mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Analytical approach to problem solving.
**Desired Characteristics**
- 5 years Engineering experience in large electrical machines - generators, motors or transformer roles.
- Experience in the Wind sector and knowledge of competitors solutions
- Experience in industrialization and manufacturing of permanent magnet motors / generators.
