Our Finance Modelling Lab is looking for a data-savvy innovator who can dive into route, maintenance, and flight data, then transform it into advanced Python-based simulations.

As a **Finance Modelling Lab Analyst** you’ll work hand-in-hand with Operations, and other teams to pinpoint cost drivers at a granular level—fuel, routes, crew, airport fees, and more.

**What you'll do as a Finance Modelling Lab Analyst**:

- **Build & Refine Cost Models**
- Translate operational data (e.g., flight schedules, maintenance logs) into Python-driven models that capture direct costs in real time.
- Experiment with new modeling approaches—like machine learning or scenario testing—and stay one step ahead in identifying cost-saving insights.
- **Dive Deep into Operations**
- Partner closely with departments like Maintenance & Engineering, Flight Operations, and Ground Ops. You’ll gather in-depth data, understand how each domain works, and **translate it into cost metrics**.
- Engage in hands-on discussions with operational staff to spot inefficiencies and propose solutions backed by your modeling findings.
- **Data Analysis & Reporting**
- Get your hands dirty pulling data from multiple sources (internal systems, external APIs). Use advanced Python libraries (Pandas, Polars, PySpark...) for data cleaning and transformation.
- Develop clear, concise reports and dashboards so stakeholders—from engineers to finance managers—can visualize cost trends and make better decisions.
- **Innovate & Automate**
- Challenge the status quo by seeking ways to **automate** manual tasks. Build scripts, create reporting templates, and propose new analytics workflows.
- Collaborate with IT or other data teams to ensure your models integrate seamlessly into existing systems.
- **Learn Airline Finance on the Go**
- While deep finance expertise isn’t required, you’ll pick up essential concepts around budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting as part of your day-to-day work.
