Project and Exploitation Manager

Iconiq Innovation’s **Project Delivery team** provide Innovation, Business, Market and Project Management services to our clients and partners. We work directly through commercial contracts and as a partner within government funded projects.

Our focus is on _maximising the outcome of projects_ and _delivering success for our clients_. We are excited to address some of the world’s biggest challenges such as UN Sustainable Development Goals by realising the full potential of R&I projects through our commercial acumen. Our areas of expertise include Intellectual Property, Market Analysis, Business Support, Tech Scouting, Access to Finance, Project Management, Dissemination & Exploitation and Innovation Management.

We operate in a flexible manner, with project teams being built from consultants across our three businesses in the UK, Spain and Ireland and our Europe-wide network of associates. The Project Delivery team work closely and in collaboration with our in-house Proposal Writing team.

We are expanding our businesses in Ireland and Spain and looking for skilled and motivated people to join the team.

**The Role**:
We are seeking highly motivated, proactive and results-driven individuals to join our team as **Project and Exploitation Managers**. You should have excellent Project Management and Business skills with significant experience of R&D&I projects funded through **Horizon Europe** and/or other public funding mechanisms.

Our consultants are predominantly home-based although there is the possibility to be located at our offices. Some European travel will be required for company and project meetings, training, networking events, conferences and various team-building and fun activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support and work closely with the Project Coordinator and Technical Lead by Project Managing Horizon Europe and/or other funded projects
- Undertake project Administrative, Financial, Contractual, Quality Management and Reporting activities.
- Project Manage and deliver Iconiq project work within funded or commercial contracts.
- Coordinate and communicate with project partners, including research institutes, universities and industry and wider stakeholder and collaborative networks.
- Undertake, and where required lead, Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation tasks
- Ensure compliance with Horizon Europe or other national/international program rules and regulations

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in technical R&D project management, with a proven track record of managing successful Horizon Europe projects
- A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. science, technology, engineering, social sciences). Business or Project Management qualifications are also of value.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - including face to face, online and through social media channels
- Excellent technical and business report writing
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- A good understanding of the how to exploit technologies and develop business cases and plans
- Good IT skills covering online working (Teams), Project Management software and excel

**Desirable Skills**:

- Iconiq Innovation have a highly successful funding acquisition team so experience of proposal writing and evaluation would be useful
- Experience of consultancy roles
