We’re looking for a native French-speaking Translator to help us deliver an exceptional local experience for Sage customers in France. You’ll be responsible for translating and localising customer-facing content, from UI elements to product help and documentation, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with Sage’s tone of voice. This role is key to making complex regulatory and technical information simple, accurate, and user-friendly.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Barcelona office.

Your First 90 Days
- 30 days - Familiarise yourself with Sage products, our content style guide, localisation processes, and terminology tools. Begin translating and reviewing small sets of content.
- 60 days - Take ownership of specific content streams (e.g., product help, UI labels). Ensure linguistic consistency across platforms and collaborate with teams to clarify source content.

What You’ll Do
- Translate and transcreate product help articles, documentation, and in-app content into French
- Localise UI labels, tooltips, onboarding guides, and customer communications for the French market
- Conduct linguistic reviews of French content across web and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with product managers, UX writers, and engineers to clarify context and resolve ambiguities
- Maintain consistency with Sage’s tone of voice, terminology, and content standards
- Ensure all translations comply with local regulations and are culturally appropriate
- Contribute to continuous improvement of localisation processes and tools

You’ll work within the localisation and content team, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, UX writers, and engineers. The team is passionate about delivering a seamless experience to customers worldwide while ensuring quality and compliance in every market.

Snapshot of Your Day-to-Day
You’ll spend your day translating and adapting content for the French market, reviewing in-app text and documentation, and ensuring compliance with linguistic and regulatory standards. You’ll also work closely with product and UX teams to deliver the best possible localised experience.

**Qualifications**:

- Native French-speaking, with excellent command of English
- Proven experience in translation and localisation for software or digital products
- Strong understanding of French regulatory and compliance language standards
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear and user-friendly language
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency

Nice to Have
- Experience with translation management systems (e.g., SDL Trados, Phrase)
- Familiarity with UX writing and UI localisation best practices
- Knowledge of Agile workflows and cross-functional collaboration
- Background in HR, Payroll, or financial software terminology
