**Job Description**:
**EcoVadis is seeking a Billing & Collection Associate to join the Finance team in Barcelona.**

**This position is responsible for full-cycle multi-currency accounts receivable; including billing, billing modifications, processing incoming payments, collections and reconciling customer accounts. This position interacts with internal and external customers on a daily basis and must provide a consistently high level of customer service and ethics.**

**Core responsibilities**:

- Research disputed accounts as needed to determine the cause and validity of the delinquency.
- Take appropriate action to resolve and/or identify significant collection and billing issues and escalate appropriately,
- Process and reconcile payment where required
- Obtaining and sharing customer feedback with colleagues and other departments so that products and services can be improved.
- Attend workshops and meetings as required.
- Respect client confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with EcoVadis internal stakeholders to resolve any billing and debt collection queries efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with a variety of internal projects based on the needs of the organization.
- Participate in new pilot projects and work towards proper transition of knowledge to the team.
- Act as mentor and trainer to junior team members.
- Guide junior team members to reduce AR ageing and optimise collections.
- Collaborate with the Managers to develop processes to improve productivity and quality of the team.
- Work with the Managers to resolve any conflicts that may arise within the team.
- Liaise with international colleagues from all departments regularly to assist and add value to the EcoVadis global mission.


**Qualifications**:

- Fluency in Spanish and English is a must. Additional languages will be a plus.
- Degree in a Business, Management or Finance related discipline would be preferred, but applicants with other backgrounds will be considered.

- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Office tools
