Director of Infrastructure Operations

The Role

The Director of Infrastructure Operations will lead transformative, cross-region efforts to scale and drive efficiencies and to deliver operational excellence, in support of the organization alignment to the ‘One Solera’ vision. The role will be instrumental in defining best practice processes throughout the Company, working closely with IT teams, development, and our partners.

To be successful in this role, this individual must be able to work to aggressive deadlines while remaining flexible to the needs of the business. They must be able to demonstrate a proactive attitude and always take the initiative in ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the expected quality. They will enjoy working in a strong team environment focused on delivery of a stable and reliable IT infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
- Leads implementation processes for the organizations IT systems.
- Work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
- Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
- Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
- Plan and implement IT changes to enable business operations and future growth.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations
- Able to communicate effectively with variety of stakeholders and gain alignment, and/or influence required action
- Able to evaluate data and make or recommend informed strategic and tactical decisions
- Able to balance focus on big picture while ensuring delivery at the day-to-day detail level
- Identify and implement best practices for optimizing infrastructure and operations costs, improving system performance, and ensuring service-level requirements are met.
- Coaches, mentors, and trains new and existing team members in organizational, behavioral, and technical skills
- Be an active member of the leadership team, working to optimize the utilization of IT investments in the most efficient and effective manner
- Oversee operational and support needs for in production systems and ongoing projects, including managing teams of technical personnel through all phases of project development, roll-out, and implementation.
- Interface with other departments and management through the project process and manage changes to project plans. Propose budgets and schedules, set timetables for information systems projects, allocate resources, monitor progress, and troubleshoot solutions to project challenges.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of relevant technical experience, including 8+ years in a leadership role
- Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, and storage systems
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Track record for leading IT transformational initiatives in sophisticated environments.
