Position Summary:
Xylem is looking for a Field Service technician to service our customers in Milpitas, CA and surrounding areas.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician:
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation service and maintenance of our water purification equipment utilizing a company service vehicle within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Willing to train the right person but previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged. This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities and a compensated on-call rotation with occasional afternoons/weekends.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Creates and maintains safe working environment and cultures within the organization
- Takes care of company property
- Trouble shoots systems for mechanical electrical equipment conditions
- Identify and remedy safety issues both Company and Customer owned equipment
- Direct interfacing with customers
- Potentially at multiple sites with multiple technologies

Position Requirements:

- HS diploma or equivalent
- One year of work experience preferred
- 0-2 years technical experience
- Experience with Microsoft office including smart devices
- Must have customer service experience
- Demonstrates critical thinking and trouble shooting ability
- Able to operate company service vehicle safely
- Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Additional Details:
Must be able to function in a team environment

Usually works with direct supervision but can work independently if needed

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% or more daily/local

Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

Salary range:
$45,500.00 - $72,500.00
