The Field Service Engineer is a hybrid position responsible for installations, system process startup and troubleshooting of Wastewater Treatment Equipment. Travel for this position is 50% of the time. Area of focus, Central Valley, Milpitas Ames and Sacramento, California.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

Wastewater Treatment - On-site process start-up and operations leadership and support

Writes and modifies PLC and HMI programs for water treatment systems utilizing Rockwell / Allen Bradley and Siemens products

Controllers: Configures automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus

Size pipelines, pumps, blowers, other equipment, etc., based on site hydraulics

Lives by our safety program and drives engagement at all levels.

Conducts/performs semi-complex site surveys to develop base or installation design plans.

Identify, coordinate, and engage with other functional teams to complete assignments

Create equipment, instrumentation, and valve lists to be purchased.

Conduct in-person shop or jobsite reviews throughout the project.

May develop the planning and estimating of labor categories, rates, material dollar costs, transportation expenses and per diem rates to complete complex proposals.

Guides and performs the review of complex-task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual guidance throughout task duration

Support the construction/project manager with the technical oversight of contractors.

Trains customers and other engineers to maintain and adjust complex tools, test equipment and calibration items, etc.

Writes and submits reports covering all job activity.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in degree in Engineering is (preferred) or Wastewater Treatment equipment field experience of 5 + years

Valid drivers license in good standing

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% occasionally over night stays
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software.
Knowledge of chemical process engineering and safety regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

$71,000.00 - $113,500.00
