Summary
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or Human Resources
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in learning and development including in a management position
- Understanding and experience with adult learning
- Prior experience in a luxury hospitality highly required
- Ability to read and speak and write English and Spanish
- Understand and familiar with quality standards and service standards of the hotel
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors' delivery man
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skill
What you will be doing
- Assists the Executive Committee and Heads of Department in identifying learning needs within each department.
- Co-ordinates and monitors the hotel's Learning Plan and Calendar.
- Assists with the monitoring of skills learning and departmental standards as defined in the Departmental Operations Manual.
- Responsible for the grooming standards of the hotel and ensures all employees adhere to the same.
- Advises the Director of Human Resources of any new support material that would be beneficial to the hotel. Keeps informed of new developments, materials and techniques in learning.
- Ensures the maximum utilisation of Departmental Trainers in each department and closely monitors and rewards their performance and activities.
- Trains, mentors and appraises Departmental trainers in accordance with HI standards. Conducts monthly Departmental Trainer forums and activities
