Data Project Manager

BNP Paribas EMEA Finance employs 500 employees, of which more than 325 are based in Madrid. Beside value creation, business and regulators increasingly ask for high quality standards, granular access, near real time availability, robust audit trails and advanced data infrastructures but also data protection and security practices are rapidly expanding and under scrutiny.

To meet this ambition Group Data Office’s mission is articulated around four pillars:
Setting the Group data vision in alignment with the Businesses’ strategies and objectives

Operationalizing this vision in close cooperation with IT and making data actionable to drive analytics and digital transformation

Capitalizing on the steering and animation of the Business Lines and Functions CDOs community to strengthen the data culture within the Group

Enforcing data governance policy including adherence to BCBS 239 and personal data privacy and protection regulations

MISSION:
Your field of intervention will cover all aspects of the data strategy, ranging from data management issues, ESG-data supply change to data privacy and protection, AI and smart automation and deployment of other technological tools or the study of new fields of action.

You will collaborate with Group Data Office experts, Business lines & Functions Data Offices and AI teams as well as other key partners across Marketing, IT, Legal, RISK,

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a project manager within the Data Strategy and Change team at the Group Data Office (GDO), you will contribute to the operationalization of the Data strategy, continuous regulatory compliance and data-driven value creation. In particular, you will:

- Steer data projects, oversee development and deployment of solutions, from design and planning to implementation within budget and deadlines, while ensuring quality of the deliverables
- Ensure alignment of business needs and IT developments while incorporating by design all applicable data frameworks, guidelines & good practices

- Define and monitor key metrics and outcomes for strategic initiatives;
- Contribute to relevant Governance bodies and management presentations by drafting clear and concise material -including but not limited to-: project updates, decision-making support, working documents and meeting minutes

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Training:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Engineering / Finance / Data or Computer Science or related fields
- Ideally you have at least 3-5 years' of professional experience in project management, or consulting in the financial industry focused on the data and/or digital transformation, working through the full project lifecycle. Agile project management experience is a plus
- Business skills
- Solid project management experience, ability to manage cross functional/cross discipline teams and multiple tasks / work streams
- Experience developing and adapting a process and defining and monitoring performance indicators
- Data knowledge, including data quality, privacy, protection and security, and understanding of Artificial Intelligence and smart automation
- Knowledge of the BNP Paribas’ organization and understanding of Business/IT relationship
- Interest in new technologies and digital law

Tools and methodologies
- Data preparation and visualization skills, leveraging either on MS Office (Excel, PPT) and associated tools (Think-cell)
- Experience with Project Management methodology
