As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an
**Intern** to join our
**Wind Asset Advisory team** in
**Barcelona**,
**Pamplona **or
**Lyon** and help provide solutions to support wind farm operational success for our customers.
What youâll learn & achieve:
- You will get an overview of all types of wind technical expertise necessary for a developer, an operator, a lender, or an investor during the complete lifecycle of a project while focusing your day-to-day activities mostly on the operating assets.
- You will execute some tasks within lifetime evaluation projects by analyzing data and prepare reports for clients.
- You will execute these projects according to defined methodology and guidelines.
- You will also support the Performance team with some specific activities such as back-cast studies, statistical analysis or task automation.
**Responsibility**
- Execute wind operational energy yield assessments, including monthly operating reports reviews, 10-min SCADA data analysis, alarm logbook and event logs analysis, calculation of wind turbine autocurves, time-based and energy-based availability calculations, long-term correction of the data, energy yield calculations, loss and uncertainty calculations
- Execute wind farm performance analysis from high-level reviews to very detailed, including performance review based on monthly operating reports, turbine reliability tests and operational mode reviews, reference wind speed and potential energy calculation, availability and downtime analysis, wind anomaly analysis, wind modelling discrepancies assessment, performance losses calculations, specific losses (environmental, curtailment, operational strategies, electrical, etc.) and uncertainty calculations, waterfall chart analysis, other Key Performance Indicators analysis
- Prepare GIS maps for the needs of operational energy yield assessments and performance analysis reports
- Write reports in English language
- Other duties related to operational energy yield assessments and performance analysis such as 3rd party reviews, recalculations, etc;
- Assist with any other Renewables advisory activities.
What makes you a great fit:
- Ongoing Master of Science degree in a quantitative field (Physical Science, Engineering, Data Science or Statistics, Renewable Energy) from an accredited University or Engineering School
- Knowledgeable in a programming language(s) for use in statistics and data visualization, preferably in R, Python and/or MATLAB (some internal tools are developed in these languages)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong team spirit and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and at least one additional language: French, German or Spanish.
