**Job Description Summary**:
As Principal Engineer, Turbine Loads & Performance you define and own the strategy within the area of turbine modelling and load simulations, including development of design tools and methods addressing the key turbine design drivers in a smart way to ensure a competitive turbine.

Furthermore, you cooperate with our customers on improving our turbine simulations and support with expertise in the blade design phase ensuring best in class blades.
In order to understand the blade design process in details, solid blade design capabilities are needed. This is achieved by doing Conceptual Blade design in close cooperation with our customers.
**Essential Responsibilities**
As the Principal Engineer, Turbine Loads & Performance, you will:

- Defining and owning the strategy within Turbine modelling and load simulations for LM Wind Power.
- Technical lead on turbine modeling and load simulations. Including different levels of details, speed and accuracy.
- Design Blades in close cooperation with our customers and bring them to the Gate 1.
- Driving the development of simulation tools ensuring realistic turbine behavior.
- Formulating and initiating development projects within the area and driving them to implementation within the business. Including utilizing the WMC rotor rig to better understand load behavior in rotor interface.
- Expertise support in blade designs, especially when turbine constraints are not met.
- Expertise support in claims issues. Modelling prototype turbines and support solving complex turbine issues.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Ph.D or M.Sc in Engineering (within relevant area)
- +15 years deep technical experience within turbine modelling and simulations.
- International experience working with leading wind turbine manufacturers.
