**Job Description Summary**:
The Aero & Acoustics Lead Engineer reports to the Aerodynamics & Acoustics NTI (New Technology Introduction) manager, being part of Front-End Engineering (FEE) in the LM Wind Power Engineering & Technology organization.

In this role, you will be joining a team of talented Aerodynamics and acoustics experts who are working on wind turbine blade product development and new technology introduction.
This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to deliver reliable, high performance and cost-competitive wind turbines blades to GE and third-party OEMs all over the world.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of new aerodynamics and acoustic technologies, and their integration into the wind turbine blade product.
- Develop, maintain, and simplify the Aerodynamic & Acoustics design tool suite.
- Support Blade NPIs (new product introduction) throughout all different design phases, from early concept to validation, including fleet support.
- Contribute to the design of airfoils and blade add-on devices meeting performance, noise and loads / aero elastic stability requirements.
- Support manufacturing in ensuring that LM blades meet aerodynamic and acoustics quality requirements.
- Participate in wind tunnel and field measurement campaigns.
- Prepare technical reporting and presentations for internal and external purpose, including design reviews and customer meetings.
**Required Qualifications**
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Physics/Mathematics/Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years work experience in the wind industry.
Good programming skills (e.g. C, C++, Python, Matlab, etc)
- Proven knowledge of wind turbine aerodynamics and aero acoustics.
- Effective time management and rigorous organization of work.
- Good communication, open mindset and ability to work with multi-cultural and distributed teams.
**Desired Characteristics**
- Exposure to testing & validation methods (wind tunnel, field testing).
- Hands-on experience in CFD (computational fluid dynamics) and aero-elastic simulations tools (e.g. Hawc2, Simpack, Flex5, Bladed, etc.)
- Experience in high and low fidelity aero acoustics modelling and prediction tools.
- Attentiveness to customers' needs and sense of urgency.
