Ran Solutions Architect

My client is a large multinational software vendor and consulting business with a long track record in Service Assurance (OSS) and RAN Automation.

This Senior Solutions Architect role would be globally orientated and focus on RAN Presales

RAN Pre-Sales
What this person is expected to do
- Able to engage with customer RAN teams and shape the discussion to position my client's solutions for RAN end-to-end automation.
- Is able to guide the technical discussion for RAN Operations and can articulate the value proposition of the Client's RAN Solution elements
- Understand, capture, and shape the product requirements towards the Product team in line with the customer ask
- Establish expertise in the RAN domain in discussion with customers and challenge and drive the solution as the product team see fit
- Work with the software product teams to guide the development providing the RAN expertise and guiding the integration efforts towards automated testing and validation.
- Represent the Product team at various industry events and can also run demos and workshops at these events and in customer engagements.
- Guide the set of team members in working through the RAN standardisation work in the O-RAN working groups, follow the standards and provide innovation in contributing to them

where possible.

Knowledge Base:

- Should have working background in the RAN area in:
Managing a RAN equipment - what does it take, what are the elements involved, role of EMS, the kind of configuration data required with different RAN vendors to setup the equipment and working expertise with at least one of the major RAN vendor’s equipment and EMS

Knowledge on RAN Planning and its use in rolling out RAN updates and changes (RAN planning knowledge would be a key skill)

Knowledge in RAN Assurance, understand the inter-relationships between various RAN Fault conditions and allied performance parameters.

Understands how RAN Performance data can be analysed to address operational issues, alignment with the standards for this defined by 3gpp and O-RAN specifications.

Good understanding of the customer’s RAN environment - the processes, people, ways of working and should be able to speak the same language as the RAN department.

Good exposure to O-RAN, understand the technology challenges and the different specifications, standards, and working groups. Having participated in the working group is
highly desired.

Good background and working knowledge on Centralise and Distributed SON and their transition with the O-RAN work.
Good Networking background with experience is either DC networking or experience in the Transport and RAN networking

Must be senior team player with the ability to guide teams and own the technical discussion towards customers and partners.

Should be able to communicate effectively, clearly and should be articulate

RAN Solution Architect
What this person is expected to do
- Able to engage with customer’s RAN teams and shape the discussion to position the Clients Solutions for RAN end-to-end automation.
- Should be able to explain the AI/ML technologies as applied to the RAN environment and how different optimizations are realized.
- Is able to understand, capture and shape requirements from the customers and the discussions in the O-RAN working group on the AI/ML driven use cases in the RAN and shape these into product requirements towards the Product teams.
- Represent the Product team at various industry events and can also run demos and workshops at these events and in customer engagements.
- Guide the set of team members in working through the RAN standardisation work in the O-RAN working groups, follow the standards and provide innovation in contributing to them

where possible.

Knowledge Base:
Should have hands-on working background in the RAN area in
- Design and Roll out of RAN networks
- Very good understanding of O-RAN Specifications and Working groups. Active participation in the working group is highly desired.

setup the equipment and working expertise with at least one of the major RAN vendor’s equipment and EMS.

- Deep understanding of the operational use of SON and how these are being shaped in the O-RAN working groups and work
