**Role Purpose**
Review prototype orders to determine the most efficient manufacturing route, working with the Prototype Specilaist and the vendor manager. C reate in-process machining drawings when required by supporting line companies.Key Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities
- Receive finished assembly drawings from requestors.
- Review prototype requests in conjunction with Prototype Manager and purchasing, to determine preferred manufacturing sourcing route and delivery date.
- Compare required components with available forgings to identify best fit.
- Identify raw component sourcing (forgings or semi-finished parts) to meet final prototype needs.
- Create in process engineering drawings when required to support finished assembly required.
- Develop new machining processes, in-process measuring methods and suppliers.
- Communicate status of orders with requestors.
- Directly coach team members and maintain a physical presence.
- Communication of appropriate site information to team.
- Define development activities of staff including goal establishment, performance appraisal, and development of skills.
**Essential Qualifications & Experience**
Experience from coordination, logistics or manufacturing planning
BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering or related field of study
Business thinking and general understanding of budget and finance terms and procedures
Experience from purchasing and supplier interaction
**Essential Competencies**
Program management
Presentation and negotiation skills
Leadership of teams
Basic understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes
English language skills
