**About the job**
As Lead Data Scientist you will report directly to the Head of Software Engineering, working with cross-functional product teams, driving team development and fostering a cohesive and high-performing environment. Together with the Head of Software Engineering, you will identify opportunities to enhance collaboration, streamline processes, and ensure the alignment of data science initiatives with software engineering efforts. You and the team of data scientists assigned to various product teams will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal performance and cohesive data-driven strategies. In this role you will also work closely with other internal stakeholders like product managers and engineers to understand business goals, identify data-related opportunities, and develop impactful solutions.
**In addition, your tasks will include**
- Developing and executing data science strategies that align with the objectives of each product team, leveraging the full potential of data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Driving the end-to-end data science life cycle for multiple projects, including data collection, preprocessing, exploratory analysis, modeling, evaluation, and deployment
- Assessing technical impact of new business requirements
- Championing a data-driven culture across product teams, promoting best practices, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, and providing recommendations for adopting innovative approaches within the product teams

**What we expect from you in terms of**
**Education & Skills**
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or any similar technical field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and familiarity with data manipulation and visualization libraries
- Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, predictive analytics, and exploratory data analysis
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solid understanding of data processing pipelines, data warehousing, and relational databases
- Experience with agile methodologies
**Languages**
- English - Proficient/Fluent
- Any other language is considered as an asset
**Work Experience**
- Several years of relevant working experience as a Lead Data Scientist, preferably working across multiple product teams
