Senior Financial Controller

As a Senior Controller you work closely with the finance and business management for your scope. You not only play a critical role in supporting key management decisions (translating business topics of a broad scope into financials and also challenge them). You are also responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis based on business information. You are in regular contact with other finance colleagues: the local & global accounting team, other controllers, the billing and invoicing teams, and have intensive interaction with the business managers. A combination of these is key to being successful in this function.

Your main areas of responsibility are:

- Be the finance SPOC and the finance key person for your scope by helping the business to translate strategic decisions into financials and use the financials to help steer in the right direction
- Support your finance colleagues in the cluster where needed
- Understand the business model and market to be able to challenge the business where needed
- Based on financials and business discussions, manage risks and opportunities together within your business
- Owner of the budget, forecast, and long-term planning of your scope
- Story-building of actuals and challenge the financials, in comparison with budget, forecast & previous year as well as historical trends of your scope
- Interact with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams
- Provide ad hoc analysis e.g. business cases to support management with financial decisions
- Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes
- Participate in local and global initiatives, this may request occasional travel

**Profile**
- Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or similar
- You have 5 years of relevant working experience within finance, controlling experience is a must
- You are pro-active, have a critical mindset and a hands-on attitude
- You have strong communication, and problem-solving skills, can plan effectively, and feel comfortable making critical decisions
- You feel confident talking to senior management
- You are energetic, highly motivated, with an inquiring mind and passion for excellence
- You are fluent in spoken and written English
- Experienced user of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of SAP4Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI is a plus
