As **Head of Sales Iberia** you will be responsible for managing the Retail Sales Managers (RSMs), aftersales, dealers, etc to deliver growth in Switch market share. You will also support the Commercial Director in developing key accounts and take ownership of specified key account management as required.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Motivating the sales team to achieve the best results possible and meet their weekly and monthly KRAs
- Set activity and (revenue/ margin) targets for members of the sales team
- Liaise with RSMs and Finance on pricing structure to ensure margin objectives are met and reviewed. Tender documents are submitted to reflect the businesses position, on time and reviewed.
- Continually address training and development needs for the RSM group, and all members to improve general performance of the commercial team
- To carry out daily “where are you going” and “where have you been” calls to the RSM group at the start and end of each day, and to update the Commercial Director accordingly
- Provide weekly support for the RSM pipeline conference calls and identify market opportunities for new customers (private and public)
- Primary interface between Sales and the rest of the business (procurement, engineering, production) for the communication of tenders, orders, vehicle specifications (Lead times, availability and engineered solutions) and the resolution of problems. Ensure that the relevant product design, processes and systems are updated, and any concerns are flagged, timely, to key stakeholders
- Explore joint opportunities and agree a shared strategy between Sales with Customer Service Manager in the Aftermarket, to encompass the whole life cost of the vehicle is captured and managed accordingly in-line with the customer expectations.
- Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances
- To provide direction to RSMs to deliver agreed actions and maintain the customer database / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- To liaise with RSMs and the Commercial team to ensure the sales order process is adhered to, and identifying key areas for improvement
- To carry out monthly visits to new RSM areas to provide direction and support in delivering retail sales as required
- To support key account activity and visits as required with the Sales team, and the Aftermarket team (to ensure Warranty and training agreed).
- To provide monthly support for team sales meetings and deliver 1-2-1s performance reviews
- To lead nominated key account pipeline conversion
- Networking in order to generate new business
- Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business leads
- Act as a spokesperson for the business at sales events and conferences
**ESSENTIAL /DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS**
**Essential**
- Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related field of study.
- 15 - 20 years of proven track record in a B2B business development and, or key account management leadership within the automotive industry.
- Direct experience of the bus industry via the supply chain or direct with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire and develop a remote sales team
- Work effectively and influence cross functionally
- Ability to drive sales growth and achieve agreed targets (set, plan, monitor and review)
- Strong accounting management (internal and tenders) and budgetary skills
- High level of Spanish and English is required.
- Active car driving licence.
- Willing to travel 70%
- Effective communication, verbal, written reports and presentations
- Competent in computer skills incl. Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, excel, word).
- Quality Assurance to work standards and Attention to Detail.
**Desirable**
- Other European languages is must.
