Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator to join our team working in the non-live content area of our production department, helping with the planning and delivery of all non-live content during the Olympic Summer and Winter Games, the Paralympic Games and Youth Olympic Games. This non-live content includes features, highlights, promos and interviews for a 24/7 channel, Olympic Channel News (OCN), and for delivery to rightsholders via our content delivery platform, Content+.

At Games-time a large production and post-production content area will operate in the International Broadcast Centre creating this additional content and the Production Co-ordinator will work as part of this team.

Your strong attention to detail and ability to plan in a detailed and highly organised manner will be key assets in delivering this content creation operation.

The role will require you to travel to the various Olympìc Games for a period of up to 3 months.

Duties
- Plan and monitor timelines for delivery of non-live production projects, maintaining and updating internally
- Coordinate with other OBS departments on delivery of requirements
- Plan Games-time production schedule and shifts
- Assist in the planning of pre-Games shoots, including scheduling, access and logistics
- Liaise with OBS departments for logistics such as transport plan, catering, and accommodation for non-live team
- Plan Games-Time training schedule and compile necessary documentation
- ssist in the planning of the production area in the International Broadcast Centre, ensuring all required facilities are ordered.
- Assist in the creation of the naming conventions for created content, working with OBS Archive and Broadcast Engineering departments
- Assist in the development of the workflows for the various types of content production
- Work with students from the OBS Broadcast Training Programme, ensuring they have a good learning experience
- Review operation after each Games to identify issues and propose improvements for next Games

Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a television production or post-production environment
- Native or near native command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other languages is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential
- Knowledge of standard broadcast products such as Avid iNews and EVS IPD etc is preferred
- Good understanding of post-production workflows
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly organised and detail focused
- Good team player, able to coordinate tasks with different departments
- Positive and professional attitude, able to gain confidence and respect from management and staff without compromising independence and objectivity
- Self-directed, capable to work independently at all levels of the organisation
