**Financial Controlling Lead / Remote from Barcelona / 10 months / Start June 1st**

**Job/Role Purpose**:
The Group Financial Controlling Lead is instrumental in supporting the Head of External Reporting & Consolidation in improving the quality of the Group's consolidated financial reporting. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the monthly, quarterly and yearly closings and will support the Head of External Reporting & Consolidation on the review and preparation of the main reports. This role will also be responsible for liaising with Finance Systems and coordinating any improvements in Onestream for the Financial Controlling & Consolidation team.

**Job/Role Description**:

- Lead and coordinate the Group's monthly, quarterly and annual group accounting processes. Support and review the preparation of consolidation journals, eliminations and group intercompany reconciliations and related controls. Assist with acquisition and disposal accounting
- Assist on the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidated financial statements and related schedules and documentation in accordance with IFRS for internal and external use whilst ensuring that the internal and external reporting compliance requirements and deadlines are met
- Assist the Head of External Reporting & Consolidation in the preparation of the Monthly Report and Quarterly reports like WC analysis, covenants calculation, etc.
- Coordinate and prioritize the request for improvements to systems and financial controls
- Liaise with Finance Systems and be the POC for any Onestream related issues in the team
- Work with auditors to ensure a smooth audit of the group financial statements

**Qualifications**:

- ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
- Experience working with a large, global finance team or professional services firm
- Experience of preparing consolidated financial statements for a global group
- Good working knowledge of IFRS
- Capacity to lead others to solve complex problems in the financial controlling area, based on existing solutions and procedures. Demonstrated analytical thinking to make decisions and identify innovative solutions
- Strong working knowledge of OneStream and month end reporting
- S4H capabilities are a plus
- Proven success in influencing strategic business decisions & driving significant improvements to business performance
- Trains/mentors junior staff and serves as best practices/quality resource
- Works independently; only requires guidance in complex situations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to challenge & collaborate
- Excellent Google suite skills
- Fluent English is essential, while additional languages are an advantage (Spanish in particular)
