The Head of Project Purchasing in MAHLE Electronics is the person who will lead the Project Buying department to ensure cost, timing and technical feasibility of all nominated development projects in XE incl. competitive quotations of new business for all XE product groups in terms of material cost.**Your Role & Responsibilities**
- Leadership of 3 different project buying teams for mechanical, E-E parts and PCBA/Subassemblies (7 solid reports in total 21 FTE).
- Ensure and supervise material cost targets of all running projects.
- Ensure the implementation of global purchasing processes for supplier RFQs and nominations.
- Ensure product development deliverables with respect to Project Buying tasks.
- Active participation in cost down activities & workshops.
- Communication with forward sourcing and lead buying for new supplier panel needs.
- Responsible for material cost calculation for any new project quotation.
- Ensure handover to series buying organization after SOP+6months.
- Ensure technical and frequent supplier workshops between R&D and Supply Base.

**Your Skills & Strengths**
- Engineering degree or Commercial degree with technical experience.
- English fluent.
- Spanish (nice to have).
- Good knowledge of mechanical product designs and manufacturing processes at Tier-2 suppliers.
- Good knowledge in negotiation and sourcing strategies.
- Very good commercial and technical knowledge of electronic components especially used in High Power Electronics.
- Min. 3-5 years automotive purchasing or project experience.
- Min. 3 years in a leadership position with solid line HC responsibility.
