Vice President, Human Resources - LASER Geo
This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Job Family Definition:_**
Provides a full range of HR support and program implementation activities across multiple businesses, functions, to support the LASER Geo. The LASER Geo covers countries that make up Latin America and Southern Europe. Delivers programs and policies developed globally that are specialized for local or regional requirements. Acts as a consultant and partner in driving and implementing organizational design, transformation, change management, talent management, total rewards, workforce planning, and employee relations strategies and policies. Ensures HR programs are implemented based on business-specific priorities and legal requirements at the country level. Collaborates across the HR organization to deliver an integrated portfolio of services to all employees. Systematically deploys policies and structures established by HR functions while delivering differentiated solutions based on unique business needs, local market pressures, and the competitive landscape. Supports talent acquisition efforts of staffing and recruiting, and partners with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing (MADO) to ensure new employee integration success. Consults with managers and other stakeholders on employee relations issues. Interfaces with managers, employees, government agencies, and other external representatives in consultation and negotiations as necessary.

Leads one or more major functions/departments within a multifaceted organization. Responsible for the operational success, strategic alignment and full integration of activities with other major organizational functions. Fully accountable for the long-term success of the designated organization and to the overall contribution to broader Company goals. Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility. Owns the definition of operational and strategic goals for one or more large, complex functions or departments. Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business. Reports to VP of Global Sales & Country HR
**_ Responsibilities: _**
- Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company's HR strategies, processes, policies, systems and metrics across the organization with global scope.
- Develops and manages the human resources annual operating plan and budget based on each year's top priorities driven by business needs.
- Ensures that the company's HR function is aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
- Partners with and influences clients at the EVP and SVP level.
- Assesses and monitors current and future HR processes, systems and operational needs to ensure best in class delivery and process efficiencies.
- Drives global strategies and initiatives by exercising significant governance oversight in multiple areas (e.g., key policy decisions, requisition approval, resolution of high-impact disputes).
- Has significant financial responsibility (e.g., budget of $1 million+ USD).
- Leads a team of Directors, Managers and Senior Individual Contributors for a business function, and/or region by setting overall program initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of human resource programs.
- Leads and directly manages all HR generalist functions, and demonstrates broad impact through significant direct and dotted-line employee reporting relationships.
**_ Education and Experience Required: _**
- First level university degree required, advanced degree in business preferred.
- Typically 15+ years of human resources experience with Fortune 500 companies.
**_ Knowledge and Skills: _**
- Superior knowledge of HR processes, operations and system solutions.
- Strong experience in managing rollouts of new HR initiatives in areas related to performance management, recruiting, benefits, policies, procedures etc. particularly in complex countries.
- Strong knowledge of employment practices and laws in the LASER countries.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills.
- Strong leadership and staff development skills.
- Ability to build partnerships across functions and businesses.
- Strong communication skills - written, oral and presentation.
- Ability to manage complex administrative processes concurrently.
- Ability to effectively manage a large budget.
- Very strong negotiation, influence skills.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish language
