**Job Description - Assistant Underwriter** **Marine Transit, Construction and Operational risks** **Overall purpose of the job**:To effectively service client accounts and underwrite new and renewing business in line with company procedures ensuring adherence to GCube business planning at all times. **Main Accountabilities** **Performance Measures** **Administration** - Data entry to front and back-end computer systems for new business enquiries, mid-term adjustments and renewals. - Production of documentation including quotations/non-binding indications (NBIs), certificates of insurance and endorsements. - Check quotations/NBIs, certificates, endorsements and broker slips for accuracy. - Preparation and completion of paper and electronic policy records. - Invoicing original, additional and return premiums. - Prepare and maintain records of negotiations with clients following meetings and telephone calls, ensuring a complete audit trail at all times. - Utilise the electronic document management system for all enquiries, quotes, bound and renewing business in order to ensure a complete audit trail at all times. **Underwriting** - Ensure all new business tools such as Salesforce and Xii are checked to ensure any enquiry is new to GCube, and then update each system as appropriate. - Work to underwrite and maintain a profitable book of business in line with GCube company strategy - net loss ratio of
