Manufacturing, Automotive Location: Flexible across UK and Europe **Job ref: CST/57848** **Salary/Benefits**: *** **Commensurate with experience** **The Company** Our client is a leading SME European manufacturing group supplying the automotive sector. **Key Accountabilities**: - Direct responsibility for the group P&L; Budgeting, profitability planning, forecasting and reporting to the executive board.- Create, implement and continuously evaluate the group business strategy, taking account of both macro and local site needs.- Present the vision across the group to the management team; providing inspirational leadership and ensuring that there is ‘buy-in’, together with establishing the infrastructure (people and process) to achieve the strategy.- Lead, develop and mentor the leadership team within the group, ensuring strong site performance. Understand gap analysis in the teams’ capabilities and implement training initiatives, plus identifying recruitment needs to overcome any limitations.- Drive a culture change programme across the group, to ensure there is a cohesive approach to business and one which harnesses the value of the group, as opposed to individual site.- Provide support and guidance to sites that are not achieving the required objectives.- Work closely on localized and group commercial deals, sector development and customer relationship, building initiatives at a senior level.- Overseeing the development of Operational Excellence across the group, encouraging internal benchmarking to identify and share ‘best practice’.- To evaluate any Capex projects required across the group and determine the best course of action based on pay-back.- To support group projects with potential partners and customers in the development of business opportunities, products and associated technology.- Target profitable growth in commercially viable industries and with customers. **Experience Traits**: - Proven financially and commercially focused hands-on CEO, with a background in developing and growing SMEs. Professional experience within manufacturing ideally experienced in working with the automotive sector.- Good networker and able to open doors through known contacts.- Strong understanding of operations and finance - managing P&L, developing strategies, implementing culture change and creating shareholder value.- Capable of working within a SME business as opposed to an environment that is too ‘corporate’.- Strong strategic background and a leader who can shape the vision of an SME group, in line with maximizing market opportunities.- Excellent people manager and visionary who can build successful teams.
