**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
As a **KYC Quality Officer, **you will coordinate and supervise all the activities carried out by the Europe KYC Quality Department Team and escalate to the Compliance functions when and if applicable, assuring always the best Client Experience and supporting the different business lines with specialized knowledge on KYC.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Creation and coordination of the KYC Quality Team of RAC Europe (standardization of processes, synergies, sharing knowledge,...)
- Seeking for reduction of AML related risks while ensuring business development and growths and seeking for the correct completion of KYC files of customers to avoid exposing the group to an AML risk.
- Assuring a correct perimeter maintenance for Corporates and Correspondent Clients
- Assuring escalation and effective responsiveness form to/from the different relevant stakeholders involved in the process such as 2lod, Reputational Risk, Sanctions, etc
- Assisting with implementation, and maintenance of an anti-money laundering manuals within the institution.
- Ensuring compliance with current AML regulations, and other relevant legislation (e.g local regulatory requirements of the countries, Mifid, Emir, DFA, Fatca,...).
- Keeping and maintaining records of high-risk customers and reporting suspicious activities to the Compliance Department or local 2lod.
- Briefing and reporting to senior management on matters relating to AML. KPIs and KRIs monitoring and reporting to assure no deviations in accordance with Santander risk internal appetite.
- Giving advice to Business, managing queries, and assuring correct AML culture embedding across the different stakeholders
EXPERIENCE
- Min 8 years of previous working experience in the Financial Crime or Anti-money laundering department with wholesale banking and Client Service orientation. Alternatively, minimum of 10 years in a Big Four Audit Firm (AML related position). Overall experience in Financial Institutions of 10 years. Proven track record in managing teams.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in Law, Finance or Business Administration.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Spanish native speaker and fluent in English. Italian/French/German language will be a plus.
- Very strong knowledge of the Financial Crime (FC) / AML European and Spanish legislation. Possession of an AML certification will be a plus (e.g. ACAMS). Experience in markets and applicable regulations (e.g MIFID, DFA, EMIR, ). Previous FC advisory and Change Management experience is highly desirable including advising on policies and procedures. Ability to adapt corporate procedures to the local regulation and to the peculiarities of a local Branches activities.
