**Profile**
- The Role:
The Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager, and acts as the primary point of contact on site, being the company representative and managing the relationship with all stakeholders, including main contractor, subcontractors, suppliers, utilities, etc. They supervise and assist the main contractor to manage the execution of the services in a timely, complete and satisfactory manner, in accordance with the requirements of the project.
The Construction Manager monitors and maintains project commitments, and in particular, identifies any deviation from the schedule or lack of quality in the work performed by the Main Contractor. They coordinate with the main contractor, with duly anticipation, the provision of services in order not to interfere with the progress of the construction work. They also ensure compliance with the ESG requirements of the project and inform in case of detection possible non-compliance. They manage the contractor in relation with the documentation required in the EPC contract, supervise the construction content, quality, H&S and environmental monitoring reports. They ensure the strict follow up of the work plan, guidelines, instructions and management of the Project Manager, identify the optimal strategy for project implementation and manage work requirements of external resources to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil works).
- At least 3 years of experience in managing construction and contractors and subcontractors in the PV solar generation sector, and experience in complex civil works installations
- Detailed knowledge of the Portuguese market with proven skills in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works management.
- Good multi-tasking and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks with effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
- English and Portuguese, both written and verbal, and strong communication and relationship building skills.
