The role involves working closely with experienced team members to assist in financial reporting, cash reconciliation, and investor communication. Technical Must Have Skills: Solid foundational accounting knowledge – Understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping, enabling effective financial data handling. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) – Excellent communication skills are essential for preparing reports and collaborating with international teams. Strong Excel skills – Ability to manage data, perform calculations, and manipulate spreadsheets efficiently to support reporting processes. Attention to detail and accuracy – Critical for recording capital activities, reconciling cash, and ensuring correct portfolio valuations. Organisational skills and time management – Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. Technical Nice to Have Skills: Knowledge of fund accounting or private equity instruments – Understanding of closed-ended funds and related concepts to facilitate smoother onboarding and task execution. Experience with financial software or ERP systems – Support efficient data processing and portfolio valuation processes. Basic understanding of fund documentation and investor statements – Aids in preparing accurate reporting outputs.
