Lead a footwear design team to translate the Alohas brand into innovative, market-aligned products. You will steer the design process from concept to final product, ensuring quality and brand consistency. Collaborate cross-functionally to translate trend insights into tangible collections and maintain manufacturability. This role offers the opportunity to shape footwear design at a sustainability-driven fashion start-up and inspire a proactive, creative team.

- Conduct market research on trends and consumer preferences
- Lead the footwear design team through concept, mood boards, and collection briefs
- Develop sketches, tech packs, and communicate with manufacturers throughout development
- Ensure manufacturability and alignment with brand aesthetics
- Present concepts across teams and incorporate feedback
- Oversee quality control and continuous process improvements
- Collaborate with product, marketing, sales and production for timely, cohesive product development
- Stay updated on materials, tools, and technologies in footwear design
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to gather inspiration
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, or related field
- 5+ years in footwear design with a strong portfolio
- People management experience and leadership ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent sketching, drawing, and visualization skills
- Strong market awareness and trend forecasting abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with 3D design tools and AI software is a plus
