This means that we will speed up integrating our channels further and developing our organization, with the aim to create omni customer experiences like no other.As part of this omni transformation journey, we are recruiting the role of Accountant Specialist for Spain.Job DescriptionAs an Accountant Specialist, you will work as a part of the Accounts Team, with the responsibility for ensuring the day-to-day accounting and controls, preparation of monthly management accounts, and ensuring successful completion of various month-end tasks.We believe that for this position, you need to be highly motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. You need to manage multiple deliverables while showing accuracy and adherence to tight deadlines and controls around accounting.We are looking for an experienced Accountant Specialist to oversee accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Responsibilities include keeping the books correct, ensuring quality, and compliance with laws, as well as ensuring that routines are followed and that the books are closed on time. An Accountant Specialist must have a strong knowledge of local tax regulations and be able to analyze the taxation of any scenarios in our business.A successful Accountant Specialist combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants.Accountant Specialist duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.QualificationsThe job of an Accountant Specialist comes with many responsibilities and challenges:Responsible, together with the Accounting team, for all accounting routines in compliance with the standards and values of H&M, local tax, and accounting regulations.Participate in the budgeting process, analyze figures, and ensure the best forecast. Quarterly review and correction of possible deviations.Participate in the reporting process to the parent company, elaborating figures, confirming data, analyzing deviations, and explaining them.Ensure that taxes are made in accordance with local regulations and conduct good tax planning. Stay updated with the latest developments and make decisions to adapt to regulations efficiently.Manage routines for fixed asset bookings and depreciation calculations.Guarantee accuracy in all processes, calculations, and bookings during stocktake.Participate in Global projects, coordinate activities between local and global teams, evaluate the need for local resources, and ensure compliance.Work in accordance with VAT, Corporate Tax, and Withholding Tax regulations.Prepare statutory reporting and statistics.Analyze key financial data.Utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding.Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise.Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities.Prepare monthly and yearly cut, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and follow-up analysis of expenses compared to forecasts.Attend to the needs of both internal and external audits.Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.Provide input into departmental and company goals.Collaborate with other countries as required.Participate in Global projects when needed.Your skills- We believe you are an open-minded, communicative, and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism.Your personal qualities should also include:University degree or higher education within Business Administration (or similar).Good knowledge of Excel and SAP.Both written and oral English skills are mandatory.5 years of experience in Accounting or Audit in a similar role, with good knowledge of legal local requirements.Strong analytical and accounting skills.Drive towards goals and initiative.Willingness to learn.Ability to cope with a high workload.Planning and organizing skills.Delegating and leadership abilities.Self-motivating and inspiring.Clear and convincing communication.Acts as a role model for our values.Sounds interesting?
